All of you should read this Michael Moore book. NOW I SAY!!

I'm so enthralled. It's like I'm learning things that I never thought MY government would do to me and the lovely people whom I share my existence with. I never thought about how royally screwed we are. And now more than ever, anyone that would vote for Bush annoys me. It's all about being uneducated and this book (and God knows how many else ( Read more... )

You know it's refreshing to see someone who is so aware of what is going on. Most people from our generation just dont give a shit (which is exactly how the assholes in DC want it). I still have no idea who I will vote for in November but I do know that it won't be for Bush. First of all Ashcroft scares the shit out of me....and second he knowingly signed a bill into law that has parts that clearly violate the first amendment (campaign finance reform). Not what I expect from someone who swore to protect the constitution. Of course I vote in MA so even if I did vote for Bush it wouldnt matter because the state is so democratic my left nut could run on the dem ticket and win ( ... )

SO glad you posted this!! It's also refreshing to know that people really care about stuff that goes on, instead of being ignorant. I do believe you'd like Dude Where's My Country. Moore goes on a whole BIG spill about the Patriot Act in which you're talking about. I'm going to find some good quotes and stuff tonight and I'll reply to you again.

I swear, if Bush wins, I really will go to Canada. I can't tell you (though by from this post i'm gathering you feel the same) how bad it scares me if that man is allowed to reign for another 4 years.

blame canada.... velvethead January 16 2004, 01:11:45 UTC
Well the dollar does go a lot further in Canada, but they dont have dollar bills and the strippers in Montreal hate it when you throw the dollar coins at them =).

Prescription drugs are affordable....but you have to wait months to years for elective surgery. Not to mention its really f-ing cold.

Oh yeah and they spend about $3 a gallon for gas.

It is great to see another LJ user for Clark and young one at that.
I hope you are writing letters or calling for Clark as part of the eBlock Captains program, if you can aford the time.

Bush annoys me too, But his pals in office, like Ashcroft, and the ones not in office, who are pulling his strings, frighten me to the core!

Wes Will Win!
