Nearly finished reading "Dress Your Family in Corduroy and Denim" by David Sedaris. Laugh out loud funny in places. I'm going through a reading phase, which is nice, but expensive. I need to start using my library card...

As I was walking across a parking lot today, a 40 something, pear-shaped mom was madly push/riding a shopping cart toward her car, her young daughter inside, sqealing with glee. I thought, "you rock!". That kid's got it made. I grinned all the way home. I like it when people don't grow up.

Saw March of the Penguins yesterday. I liked it. Cute, interesting.

Got home from a party tonight. Rather drunk and sleepy. Good night!

I got my guitar! It has that woody new guitar smell. I like it. It's a Yamaha FG700S. Nothing fancy, but more than enough for these novice fingers and ears. When I moved to Oakville about ten years ago (hmmm, eleven actually...) I had a guitar and practiced because I didn't know anybody, and it was a thing I could do on my own. Went out with a few friends tonight after vball... Sushi first, then to a couple of clubs. I am a curmudgeon, or something, I think. Passed a pottery shop today... it had a homemade sign out front that read "Get your pot here".

They have maple flavored mini wheats now. Yum. Sugary.
