This is my exact thought. Someone had a lot better simile then me:

The thought of an appeal is like fighting the end boss with no save option.

I am hoping that the appeal is shot down, but for now...

Yay! About damn time. They're saying it'll probably be challenged in the Supreme Court and I damn well hope so, so we can finally get it from the top that it's legal. Basic human rights have no business being voted on by the general public.
