As it so happens, my bite did get infected. :[ Thankfully, the guards believed me when I said I was ill and let the doctor on the ship take a look at me. :] With his help, the infection should go away in another day or so. :] Since the bite was on my wrist, it pained me to use my laptop, which is why I haven't been on here that much as of late
