Oh my god. I'm so sorry. Is there anything that they can do?

I'm really sorry to hear about that. I hope she'll survive it.

((hugs))
I'm sorry to hear this sad news. Hopefully some chemo will fix her right up.

Is that a good thing or a bad thing? How are you doing and how do you feel about it?

Hey sweetie, I'm very sorry to hear that. Like someone mentioned above, keep in mind cancer isn't a death sentance. On the news this afternoon they were talking about all the new cancer drugs coming out that are better targeted, more effective and not nearly as harmful and toxic as chemo therapy is now. If your mom has been through it once she sounds like a tough cookie that isn't going to throw in the towel. If you're worried about her not feeling needed let her know that you need her around. Good luck sweetie, my thoughts are with you and your mom.

Thanks. It's just hard because the 5 year survival rate is 16%. I'm not trying to be fatalist or anything, but that's a really freaking small number.
I'm mostly in shock right now. It will be easier to be positive about it later...hopefully.
