I talk to Jamie and my friends, and parents about politics quite a bit...at least about the campaign races and the candidates and for the last couple of months I think I could have told you that if I were allowed to vote (not a citizen) I would vote for Bush. It wasn't until this morning that I started really reading peoples livejournals that I ( Read more... )

oh yeah also I think most people are voting for Kerry not because of his politics or what he stands for but because he's the " POPULAR " canidate this campaign. I've talked to so many people that say they are all for Kerry, but have no idea why or what he stands for. They just know they're "ANTI BUSH". America is full of fucking mindless robots.

if people say they are against Bush just because "The war is wrong" they havent looked far enough into it, or even tried to think about it. The war was wrong, because our initial issue with Iraq was we felt they were violating UN orders not to have weapons of mass destruction. Then we, hypocritically, ignore the UN's vote, the very organization whose rules we purported to be enforcing, to go into Iraq to depose Saddam and instill democracy (though apparently Americans only believe in democracy when it suits our own needs, not when we are a memeber of the UN and they disagree with us), and hunt for weapons of mass destruction ( ... )

if your friends were so unhappy to serve their country, they shouldnt have enlisted. i have friends that served as well and they didnt have harsh feelings towards bush. there are always going to be people who complain about EVERYTHING... they need to learn that no one can make EVERYONE happy...its impossible. sometimes poor decisions are made...it happens everyday...but that is the way life goes...yes it is someone who is protecting us making poor decisions but there have been countless presidents to make mistakes that the american people NEVER FIND OUT ABOUT....on the whole abortion issue and moral issues out there...people are going to be people...we will ALWAYS have ignorant americans we will always have dumb rednecks, stupid hillbillies and angry northerners....if you learn NOT to get wrapped up in "you're wrong im right..boohoo" you will be a much happier person.
world peace will never happen because americans can't decide when to shut up and let things go...

Replying to this bullshit would be a waste.
Don't you ever fucking tell me what would make me "a much happier person" because I can promise you that my happiness has little to do with politics.

[Oh...concerning your friend who is voting (or voted) for Bush primarily because he is uneducated...he, along with the other idiots who have no fucking idea what is going on, will be the only reason Bush wins this election! Lets here it for the fucking morons of the United States of fucking America!]

See thats where I disagree with you, 75% of the votes that Kerry got were from young americans that have 'no idea whats going on'. I think most of them voted based on their opinions of the war and the war alone (and most kids are blindly and ideologically against war) and im sure they didnt take any other policies or issues into consideration.
