Kaia is a big girl!

Kaia has had more and more interest in the "big potty" lately.  Last night she said, " I wanna go on the big potty cause it makes sounds....doot doot doot.."  Funny girl!  She has also been able to pull herself up on the big potty by herself by using the toilet paper holder and pulling herself up and then she sits on the side.  Today she did it all

hmmm. I don't know everybody is different and every kid is different. I have heard girls tend to be easier in this department. We have been putting Kaia on the potty since she was 6 months and we have tried to make it fun. I take her in the bathroom when I have to go so she sees me doing it. I am not an expert of course and I have heard people who don't think it is a good idea to introduce them until at least two but I don't see a point in that if you are not pressuring them and just showing them what you do when you get older. There are many developing countries that start when the baby is just able to sit on their own. They don't have the luxury of keeping them in diapers for so long and so it is only natural that they would want them to go in a specific place. I guess just make it fun and don't expect results and see what happens. I have to remind myself that sometimes too.
