Have you ever tried the paperbag trick? You breathe into and out of a paper bag held loosely in front of your mouth. (no duct tape, okay?) The idea is to limit your oxygen intake by rebreathing your own exhaust gasses (mostly CO2). It often helps people with reflexive breathing (where you just can't stop gasping for air) to get calmed back down. You might try it.

I haven't gotten any meds yet. I can't get in to see the doc until July 11th because of the holiday coming up (ughh) so until then, I'm on my own.
