Today was my first day of school. I loved every minute of it. The students are great. The environment is awesome. What more could I ask for? It is really hard to believe that school has started. Back in Massachusetts, school didn't start until a few days before Labor Day. However, we never finished school until the end of June. Perhaps the

it's because of farming. The only way farm kids would go was if they could be back in the fields during the summer.

That happened to me when I lived in Chattanooga! There was a threat of snow, and they closed school and sent us home. The headlines the next day said, "School Closed Because of Sunshine." Whoops.
