The experiment continues...

Ok. Now give me a song that, upon hearing it, you are always transported (mentally, not physically) back to an event in your life. If you want to describe the event, great. If you would rather keep it to yourself, I understand.

And thanks everyone for participating. I have learned a great deal about you from your answers to the last few

Anything from My Life with the Thrill Kill Cult, but it is NOT a good thing. I hope to NEVER hear them again. So, pretty please with a cherry on top, never play this band around me.

On a more positive note... The Christmas Song by Alvin and the Chipmunks has the most powerful effect of any, at least that I can think of right now. Whenever I hear it, I can practically smell the vinyl record, feel the flannel nightgown, and, if I close my eyes, I am suddenly sitting by the Christmas tree with Tami, petting Sara, and I can't wait to go to bed so I can wake up the next morning and open up presents.

"End Of The Road" by Boys II Men makes me SOOOO MAD because it reminds me of the total heartbreak I felt when I was at Homecoming my sophomore year of high school and I saw the girl I had a huge crush on slow-dancing with her college boyfriend. RRRRR--bastard. But I'm not bitter :).

That was the song that randomly played on my CD player the right after I had said good-bye to the true love of life #2 (yes, I had two of them...) the night that I left him in D.C., before he flew to South Africa on the way back to Perth, Australia to meet his awaiting, artificially inseminated pregnant wife.

"Hobo Humpin' Slobo Babe," by Whale for obvious reasons. I'd never seen the video until now.

That and Portishead's "Only You" for similarly obvious reasons.

"My Immortal" by Evanescence - the night I broke up with Maggy.

"Munich" by The Editors - the day Karyna dumped me.
