Can I disagree with you on some points? What's happened in Congress is that the Republicans and Bush have been largely approving their own legislation. There's been no gridlock, just frustration for Democrats. I'm betting the neo-cons will be harder to motivate towards the polls on November 7 because the GOP tried to cover up for an admittedly known pedophile. Do some googling and see if you can find a recent AP interview Nancy Pelosi- that's the agenda and it's encouraging If the democrats do win control, I suspect a great deal of legislation will get vetoed or enacted with those bullshit signing statements. There will be some change in Iraq policy, there has to be if the Dems want to keep whatever slim majority they get in 2008. I think the Supreme Court, even with two Bush nominees, is not going to let the president consolidate power unchecked. I have hope based on Hamadi v. Rumsfield... but I could be severely disappointed again. Best idea for democrats is No Hilary in 2008, she is too polarizing. I'm thinking Edwards/
