Curly hair can indeed be a bitch -you can't get half the cute little styles you want because your hair decides to get a Frankenstein personality and when its long its torturous to comb and style and keep looking lovely -still, as my mother and countless other annoying people have told me -"people pay a lot of money for hair like yours".....that and I'd look funny with straight hair.
