So most of my family is on Facebook, so I'll be mostly over there.

I have a job! I'm going to work for the Lewis County Conservation District, doing culvert surveying for the Quinaults, and then maybe nutrient management and farm planning too. I'll be moving down to Centralia or Chehalis in a month or so, when I find a place. Excitement!

That WSDA job didn't come though. Sounds like I was one of the last couple candidates, but they offered it to someone else. Sigh. Off to apply for the weed job.

I went digging for razor clams last Sunday for the first time, and Bryan said I'm a natural. Find the 'tell' (mark the clam leaves in the sand), dig straight down really fast, reach arm down and feel around, grab clam, carefully work it up out of the sand. The interview seemed to go very well, but now the waiting is killing me. I talked with my grandpa John, and he said that Grandma has pneumonia, but that she is recovering and should be released in a couple days. Why do I only ever hear about this stuff almost a week after she was admitted?

Hurray, I'm working! What am I doing, and what am I making? I am ringing bells for the Salvation Army, and making minimum wage, around 8 bucks. I spent Thanksgiving at bobmage's place, had good food, talk and tickled a large cat. On the way home, I made the mistake of going via Shelton and so was on a twisty, 2-lane road most of the way. I must say that I am very happy that our next president is not a complete jackass like our current one. I bet Bush is planning all sorts of nasty last minute surprises. Obama'll have his work cut out for him, hopefully we can maintain the momentum so that he'll have the public support he needs to get things done.
