My grandfather passed away early on Saturday morning. He was 89.

We banded together and did him proud, we think! He would have enjoyed his funeral and laughed at all the stories we told, and appreciated that my grandmother's cousin got the church to host it b/c A) it was way cheaper and B) it could hold several hundred more people and C) it wasn't a gaudy castle-type building, like the funeral home. Bumpa was a unique individual, and left his stamp on his family and his community, no doubt about it. Thank you for your condolences!

I assume you're still with your family? When will you be home? We should get lunch or dinner or something before I leave (which is in 2 weeks! ACK!)

Wow, that's soon! I get back around midnight tonight. Can you meet after the market next Saturday? We could do ice cream from that place w/ the flavors, or gelato from the chocolate shoppe.
