That is the nicest thing you could say to me! Bumpa was awesomesauce on toast. I hope I am like him. Strangely enough, I look a fair bit like him. I got this awful haircut when I was nine, and my mother put up a pic of me next to a pic of him at nine and wow. Except for his rather protuberant ears, we could have been twins. But it's his personality, exuberance and generosity I hope to emulate. :)
It's just the truth, baby. If our corner of the internet is a small village, you are definitely that peron who has helped everyone out at some point in one way or another. With a big smile on your face and probably a song in your heart, too ♥
I've already said this, but I'm so glad you got to see him and that the memorial was such a positive experience for everyone concerned. Your family is awesome and your Bumpa sounds like a character.
Thanks. I'm really, really glad we all got to see him a few weeks ago, and super glad my brother came to the funeral. The four of us were in the car together going to the calling hours and I had to stop and ask -- when's the last time this has happened? 2000. My brother got married in 2001, and as much as I love my sister in law, it sure was nice to have him to myself. The whole trip was full of "remember when" moments and cuddling my cousins. A very good memorial indeed!
This is such a lovely memorial, Blue. He sounds like he was a wonderful man, and this paints such a clear picture that I feel like I had the honor to know him a little bit, too. My thoughts are with you and your family. *hugs*
Awwww, thank you! It's so difficult to sum up what he meant to us in just a few words; am glad you could understand! Thanks so much for your warm thoughts.
