It is a symptom of Mongoose's illness that what would otherwise be a minor iritation to him becomes an obsessive-compulsive issue magnified way out of proportion. I don't often find this a problem. Up early today for some much needed housework in prep for Christmas. GRUMP! I find it hard to remember we used to get to our desks for 7.30 every morning before we retired. I am so used now to lie-ins and morning story-time with a warm dog on my feet)

On 5th November 1605, Guy Fawkes and his fellow conspirators attempted to blow up the Houses of Parliament, when King James I was there. He failed and suffered a dreadful fate for his failure. I have fallen into a reprehensible habit of falling asleep in my comfy recliner chair in front of the TV and pleasant as these snoozes are, they are rapidly destroying my sleep pattern, which is always fragile anyway, due to the insomniac Mongoose.
