I try not to read the comments on online news articles (to avoid lowering my already poor opinion of my fellow countrymen), but I can't help myself. I have today off, and I convinced Dustin to take the day off as well so we could thoroughly clean the entire apartment (woo hoo...) We're 3 hours in and more than half done (I think), and I'm exhausted.  Neither of us are neatnicks (though I'm pretty sure Dustin is worse than me), so this is a big job :(  Way to spend a sunny vacation day, eh?

I left the burner on all day after making tea this morning, and when we got back from Costco Dustin put a box of groceries on it. There's a nonprofit in Bellingham called LAW Advocates, which provides pro bono legal services for people who can't afford them.  It's a great program - they have clinics where attorneys help victims of domestic violence get parenting plans (I did a volunteer shift at this once), and help tenants get their money back or fight eviction from greedy, ( Read more... )

I got so much done today! This morning I read the entire new National Geographic (usually I only read a few articles, but this was a really good one), and finished sewing the new jammies I'm working on.
