I think the BBC have gone a bit mad with their schedules this year. Over Christmas and New Year, we're getting the Doctor Who Christmas special, and the final three episodes of Torchwood Season 1. As well as that, we get Dracula, and that's just for starters...

So Jack Harkness isn't Jack Harkness maybe? Who is he really and what has he become? It'll be interesting to see how Ep 13 feeds into DW Series 3 (not to mention whether we get an announcement of Torchwood Series 2's commissioning.

I do wonder about the visions of the future...are we going to see Jack's being resurrected by Rose and if so, what will the rest of the team think about him?

Maybe it does remain self contained and Jack's inclusion in DW Series 3 is about his missing 2 years? If so, the hints about who he's become are just irritating.

At the moment I want it to not remain self contained, because I'd like it to be more. But, I thought there'd be more to the bad wolf stuff than there was as well, and we were a little disappointed with that. I guess we'll have to wait and see, but I'm thinking more that Jack has been following the Doctor across time, and that their meeting in DW1.9 wasn't a coincidence. That was 1941 after all...

Meanwhile, Holmwood chooses to honeymoon at his ancestral home in Whitby, but still refuses to bed his increasingly frustrated wife. Lucy and her friend, Mina, console each other.
