Jennifer and Rachael!

I have been thinking about the invitations. I think it would look really nice to do a white card stock with deep blue lettering and a deep blue sailboat stamp. (Perhaps getting 4 invites out of a standard piece of paper- thus a cheap and efficient way of doing it). I could even stamp the back of the envelope ( Read more... )

I don't care what you do with the invitations. Whatever you want. I don't even know what their wedding colors were. I do like the sailboat idea since they are going on the sailboat floatilla thing for their 30th.

Ok, perhaps Jennifer has an opinion though. What do you think about decorations? Would you like to keep with the sailboat theme, or do things more anniversery? I would like to get started on the invites, especially since April is already here. When/how do you think we should tell them?

I think the sailboat invites would be fine. Any estimates on cost? I haven't come up with a budget quite yet. You guys can do what you want with decorations as long as they don't cost too much. I have to say that because I'm in charge of the budget. :) It seems like a budget manager type of thing to say. :)

I do think it would be easy to get navy cups plates etc with white tableclothes. It could be very pretty. Maybe some blue and white hydrangeas if Costco has them cheap. We might have blue things leftover from my wedding as well (in my closet at Mom and Dad's).

I think we should tell them soon so we can get their list for invites.

i think navy and white would look really good. i had some ideas about simple center pieces with small flowers, glass tumblers and maybe those blue votives from the wedding. The only cost would be the flowers. At some point it would be nice to know what Costco has for flowers. I looked on their website, but they only had bulk stuff. I think Rachael might need to stop by and ask in the flower department. We want to make sure we order them too.

i was going to stop by Michael's on way home and get an idea of paper/envelope prices and see if I can find a stamp. The cost will be dependent on how many invitations though. I (I will try to print on the envelopes to save money on labels.) Then of course there is postage. I won't buy paper today, but I will get a stamp if I see one.

i think we should tell mom and dad soon. I need to talk to Mom about the invite list and get started on invitations, with printing, cuttting, stamping, addressing and mailing it could take a while.
