...LJ to Facebook. But Facebook is great for staying connected with lots of people. Just that it's so visually cluttered compared to LJ. It's only day 2 since I finally succumbed to peer pressure and set up an acct. and I already have 32 Facebook friends. No way. -
SAP appeal approved!
SO relieved and happy that the Satisfactory Academic Progress appeal I submitted via Rhonda Spencer's office has been approved. So I know for sure I can return to SLIS for 2009-10. Anti-climactic TGIF night
Yep, anti-climactic because as I've been telling people at work this afternoon, a guy who had become a good friend since 2005 and on whom I've had a crush for approx. 1+ yr. dissed me bigtime this past weekend. Amusing incident
Passing by the orientation table for the IU Office of Women's Affairs on my way to clock in at ET2, I noticed an "Emergency Babysitter" sign-up sheet among other info paraphernalia there. Just returned to my desk fr. Rhonda Spencer's office. Sounds like she can file the SAP appeal form OK for 2009-10 financial aid so fingers totally crossed re. this mega anxiety-generating business.

Just completed major project at work
Just now completed the major long-term GIKCS project I was assigned 3 yrs. ago: OCLC database search for bibliographic records for uncataloged state documents CA-WY (start date 6/20/06). Wow, the unreality. Some of these documents were quite intriguing (e.g. the ones re. obscenity and censorship issues).
