Today at work one of my co-workers, the admirable Mr. Finley of Alabama, asked me to sum up Chicago in a single word. After about fifteen minutes of thought, I returned to him the answer: "Current. Not 'current' as in 'recent, modern, or new', but 'current' as in that thing possessed by both rivers and electrical wires

i once dated a guy w/last name of finley when i lived in alabama..hmmm. good word, too. and yes you are; i never understood it really- you seem so pleasant on the surface. ;)

hah i was in 8th grade; it lasted about 2 weeks...i don't really know much about him- but at that age, i wasn't hanging out with anybody who enjoyed recreational drug use - i didn't know anyone interesting enough to be flying airplanes - and i don't recall any talk of photography. he sounds really fucking cool, though, so i'd give him a try. the one i knew went by ben, which might be an easier way to identify him, possibly.

oh and you made me curious- since you managed to make this (in all likelihood) total stranger come off as an awesome guy, which therefore probably means you have a knack for pointing out the best in people- if you were to select three random characteristics about me to tell some random individual, what would they be?

i ask this for two reasons-
(1)i'm concerned that i may come off with far less intriguing appeal
(2)i'm wondering how well you actually know me and what you would choose to divulge from the known facts.

..this doesn't matter in the slightest, so don't worry.
