Hey Everyone!

Kathryne Arlie was born this morning at 2:08 am, 6lbs 12oz, 19.4 inches long. Lots of curly black hair, blue grey eyes, a set of lungs that would make any opera singer jealous. Ronna and Kit are doing fine, especially considering that Kit came four weeks early. Ronna is amused that she would have a baby on Friday the 13th.

So, I just got back from the doctor, and they did a sonogram. Turns out that this baby is a bit bigger than they were expecting, so they think that I'm closer eighteen weeks now. Which puts my due date on the 7th instead of the 14th. Election Day. Leave it to me to have my child's due date be on Election Day ( Read more... )

I... I felt the baby move today. It wasn't a lot, but it was there. God, I felt the baby move and this is all real and I'm really pregnant (not that I didn't know that before) but this makes it more tangible. Not that my body feeling very not me isn't tangble, but I felt this bitty flutter when I was catching up on some filing. Wow...

Max is seven today. Seven years since I came back from my Modern Political Theory study group and found a voice mail from Steve announcing a Maximilian James, someone who I promptly fell in love with.
So now the baby with the piercing blue eyes is now a third grader who can rock his multiplication tables. And I've enjoyed every minute of that
