I wonder if they were trying to "fix" the books by pushing the Harry/Ginny, because it's true, the pairing is a bit weak in the books.... thus the slash, amirite? But fuck, when you have two actors that feel as "meh" about each other as Bonnie and Dan, not a good idea.
As much as I hated the 4th movie, I would have loved to see that director push the h/d in this movie. You know he would have - he admitted to pushing the cedric/harry in GoF.... if I'm recalling that correctly.
God, Gambon leaves me cold in this. He's such a good bad guy/asshat in other stuff. Fawkes flying away choked me up more than DD dying.
LOL, they really did leave out all of the Riddle background, didn't they? Gabe was saying that, yet again, the movie makers are relying too much on fans reading the books to follow along.
And seeing the movie in imax would make me throw up. All of those crazy angles. :P
thus the slash, amirite? well, that plus a ton of other reasons. ;) hehe.
he admitted to pushing the cedric/harry in GoF hee, really?! that's fantastic. :D i need to watch all the movies again, i think. it's been ages and i wonder what i'd think of them all now. heh.
yeah, i usually really like gambon -- he's a very talented actor. just.. not quite right for dumbledore. actually, i think he could play him "right" if he tried, but he just went in such a different direction. :\
i was thinking that maybe they'd moved all the background stuff to the next movie(s) since there'll be two for the last book, but then i remembered that dumbledore told harry in this movie that the horcruxes could be *anything* ugh whyyy, so i guess they're skipping over it after all.
i just realized earlier today that the imax showing is also going to be in 3D.... hahaha. wtf. i guess we'll see how it turns out. XD
