I've had this window open to update for weeks now. I keep thinking I will find something profound to say, and then I don't. No one wants to hear about how work is still overwhelming, how my house hasn't sold, or that I'm still devastated by my marriage ending. So I will refrain from talking about those things. At the school carnival with the girls I'm hanging out in the shade and a guy next to me starts talking on the phone. I'm close enough and bored enough to easily eavesdrop.
Guy: hey. What are you doing? I was wondering if you wanted to go out tonight.
Waits for a response from whoever he's talking to.

I am back to not sleeping well. The spell where Mike and I were getting along has ended, and it's even worse than before, if that is possible. I said I couldn't do it. That I was hurt too much to fight for us. And then there was drama, some of which was truly terrifying. And I damaged what little semblance of civility we had left. Whatever hope I ( Read more... ) -

In a conversation with my mom yesterday I had to explain to her that I haven't been posting on LJ much because all of the things I want to post make me sound like a drama queen and that is not really the image I want to project. I probably am a drama queen however ( Read more... ) -

I'm around. I went off the deep end there for a little bit and had a bad couple of weeks. Things are improving in some areas, and getting so much worse in others. I'm struggling.
To keep my mind off things that depress me, I have been spending a lot of time contemplating the real world implication of this graph:
