Lent

So I'm thinking about giving up something for Lent, not because I'm a good Catholic by any stretch of the imagination, but because I think it would be an interesting test of willpower. I would think it would be easier to come up with things to bring for lunch that are vegetarian, than actual cooked meals. . . .

I vote for either that, or high fructose corn syrup.

It may be easier to find veggie things for lunch, but it's also a matter of my wanting to eat them. For dinner, I can make pasta, or soup, or veggie wraps, but for lunch, I'm mostly limited to sandwiches or salads.

Maybe I'll give HFCS a swing--even if I fail, it will make me a little more aware of what's in what I eat.

Also, have you seen this? A school teacher is eating school lunches every day to see what we really feed our kids. It's pretty interesting.
