I was pondering something today during my run*, and I thought maybe my trusty LJ friends could help me out. I'm pretty anal about my workouts. I like to know exactly how far I've run, and exactly how fast. I like to keep track of my heart rate. Sometimes I count my footfalls per minute, etc. And that's just running. As for whether the gym membership is a "reward" or not...let me tell you, this is a swanky, SWANKY gym, it's right next to my office, and it would definitely be a treat. I just don't know about signing up for 6 mos b/c it'd be really hard to give up.

It looks fairly low-key, but I know there are more rigorous ones. Anyway, treating yourself to a vacation of good food and good wine, and also walking all day some days and seeing a hell of a lot of countryside -- well, it sounds like a reward to me!
