Oh, vectors, I remember those...

I started the first of my two summer physics classes yesterday. I had been a little worried about it since it's been 10 years since I last took physics, and while doing the calculus review I discovered that I have completely forgotten calc. I mean completely in the sense of not even remembering what the physical implications of calc are, much less ( Read more... )

I have an intense relationship with stores like OfficeMax and Home Depot. Shelf after shelf of useful stuff that will help me achieve the American Dream of tidiness, organization and scholastic achievement.

I am sooooo there! I even love the way all that stuff smells. I have a particular fondness for corkboard, and the faint pong of solvents with paper and ink, but the fresh wood and eraser smell of pencils will also do nicely.

If I just buy enough stuff then I too will be together! It's the same way I feel about Home Despot - a world of potential.

I'd get a TI-83. The 84s are quite bulky.
My TI-82 got me through two years of calc - it's my baby - but I do think the 83 is better for graphing. Don't get an 81.

I hear ya on loving those school supplies. You don't get to buy anything fancy for creative writing. Boo hiss.

Rock on for starting classes, sista!

agreed wrt the TI-82. I loved mine. Too bad it got lost years ago. Otherwise it would have been perfect for you (preloaded w/ 3.091 notes). Any of those on eBay? They were very durable, and would still do all that you would need.

I'm going to agree with the TI-8x thread... except that I had a TI-85, and I still use it. I also have a TI-81 sitting around that I use at home sometimes. You could borrow it if you want. :)

I am in the office-supply adoration world too (in fact, I own a lovely velvet-bound journal). And thanks to stores like Bob Slate I'm beginning to feel the same way about gift-wrapping supplies.

Oh not true! Theoretically, if you had money to burn (as do most creative writers, right?), you could get beoootiful silk bound journals and such.

Ohmygosh, I have the same school supply fetish! New pens, nice new paper, feeling like you can finally be organized... The best part is buying a new planner and filling in all the calendar stuff but not having it be written all over with things I need to do.
