Why do smallers guys always get the 'short' end of the stick...

1/3 of U.S. men are under the height of the avg (5'9") but most stores do not carry sizes for shorter men. Stores dedicated to shorter men are extremely rare and far between, yet on every corner there's a 'big and tall' or store for 'larger men ( Read more... )

1/3's are less than the average of 5'9"?

That's actually an interesting statistic.

In a purely linear world, the split would be 50/50. However since it's not this means that the people who are over the average are larger percentage wise than those who are smaller are smaller, percentage wise.

Put another way, taking a random 'height' around average (say 6'5", and 5'1", equal distances on either side) you're more likely find someone 6'5" than you are 5'1".

Interesting.

Still, I like you the way you are!

I hope it is a cowboy hat. Tiny cowboy hats make them look even cuter.

Amen, trying to find pants for my stocky 5'3" ass is damn near impossible, and if I have one more tailor laugh and say, "haha, I can make new pair of pants with this material" as they pin up my pants for a hem job, I might drop kick them into next Thursday=/.

The apparel industry as a whole? or the small niche market of kevlar reinforced motorcycling jeans? Might want to slim down your tarring brush, and see who else can work with that fabric...

No the entire industry as a whole. Because the Jeans are just what triggered it. Most retail stores have stopped carrying pants below 30 in the store front (have to order online. If the maker even makes em) shorts rarely come in XS. I often have to shop in the 'young mens' dept, which is a lower quality of clothes (Its cheaper, but kids are growing so they often use cheaper materials cause they are gonna wear out anyways)
