I was getting heated at some of those bozos commenting on the Puck Rakers blog. Definitely like the people who write in to the sports editor about how Tressel should be fired because he loses a game. Would they prefer to go back to the days of Earle or Coop when we weren't even in the discussion for the national championship, and we were lucky to win the Big Ten in consecutive seasons? Short-sighted, and with no concept about how sports work. 60% is a good winning percentage. For the Jackets, through 64 games that would be about 77 points, so while they aren't quite there, 70 points is better than 65. They're 3 points ahead of last year. At their current pace they will end up with about 90 points, and as was pointed out, the rolling 18-game average points over the last couple of months is around 22 points, which gets to 92. And if they end up in 7th or 8th, I think that they match up better with Detroit and San Jose (especially the Sharks) than they do with the Flames.
