Halifax Trip, Part One, July 14, 2005

First off, the day started WAY too early...3:30AM - heck I've stayed awake longer than that before... Anyway, Grandma, Uncle Paul, and Uncle Paul's girlfriend Bonnie took me to Cleveland International Airport. Security wasn't bad at all; the longest part was waiting in line. According to my high school history teacher:
Raisins first came into vogue after a shipment of grapes was made. They were sent as grapes, but during the shipping process, the grapes had dried. The people receiving the dried grapes loved them, and, as they didn't speak French, thought that they had been sent a new delicacy, known as "raisins", the French word for "grapes".

My teacher may have been lying to us though.
