Columbus Microbrew Festival
I went to the Columbus Microbrew Festival (for the fifth year) Friday night and yesterday. Craig and Chris came from out of town, and a bunch of other people came out too. I just got my tax rebate back for this year, and the IRS tacked on an additional $400 due to the 'Making Work Pay and Government Retiree Credit' (Form 1040, line 63; Form 1040A, line 40, see schedule M for details). Hmmm, it appears that Megabus has lost its $8 tickets, going directly from $1 to $15. Still cheaper than the gas from Chicago to Columbus. Also, one of their selling points from their webpage is 'Professional Drivers ( Read more... ) -
Taxes
Just filled out taxes. Ohio's taxes were easy as always. Filed my Federal taxes online - huge pain to use freefilefillableforms.com. Maybe the other forms are less of a pain, can't vouch for them. In retrospect, I would have rather just found some stamps than retyped all of my W2 information. -

I won free pizza for a year (one medium pizza per week). The first time I went to claim it, the guy had no idea what I was talking about, so now I keep the newspaper clipping in my pocket and the email from the owner on my phone. Just beat Super Mario Galaxy. Highly doubt I'll play through it again as Luigi, at least within the next year. In the last level, with Princess Peach in sight, Bowser Jr yells "Looking for Princess Peach? Too bad, 'cause she's with me!" I'm not sure if the game is being ridiculous on purpose or not. Ivana was out of town, so I was left to fend for myself. I go for a walk, only to realize a while later that I don't have any money with me (so much for fending for myself).
