Ouch... I drive about 27 each day, with a little extra on Saturday to do laundry, and Sunday to run errands. I havent gone anywhere in forever. My camera is mad at me that I havent taken it to the mountains recently.
Yeah, my boss was going to get a big SUV, but, being smart enough to realize that even if gas drops, he plans to have his next vehicle for a good many years, when gas could go even higher, so, he's doing a hybrid SUV. (he'd actually utilize it's space with the family and such). The gas mileage on them isnt too bad. Beats my car!
No, regular milk is cheaper than gas. It's not far behind though, saw regular gas today for $4.26 a gallon, and I can get organic milk at Fred Meyer for $5.
What's so stupid is that we have to wait until January to get anything really meaningful done. There isn't a lot of time to adapt as it is and our slow 18th century political system isn't helping.
Yeah, I wouldnt doubt it. Now I just need a milk to gasoline converter. =D
Oii... That is not unexpected. I've watched food prices go higher and higher.... and so it begins...
Well, and dont forget the current people at the top dont WANT change. They have no incentive to. THey'll be out of office in a few months, arnt going to be reelected, so they might as ride out the top and make friends in key oil industries so that they can be set long after they are out of office.

I have to drive 50 miles or more a day, and our reimbursement doesn't even come close to covering it. It's disgusting. I pity people with SUVs.

Milk will adjust over time as well though. Did you see that Dow Chemical has raised the price of many of their petro products 20%?

In the meantime, the common person suffers.
We met a year ago yesterday...
