nar!!....since I can't comment anywhere else, I guess I'll have to go here. So what happened between LJ and facebook? How come you're not posting on here anymore?
well, actually you can comment over my DW using your OpenId, which is basically the URL of your LJ ^^
Over a week ago, LJ implemented a few features that made lots of people cringe. Most people were peeved that whoever had access to your journal could, accidentally or not, repost/cross-post to THEIR twitter/FB the comments they made and that they may quote bits of your locked posts or, slightly less frightening but still worrying nonetheless, say something that may let people on FB/Twitter understand what the post was about. There were also other concerns about privacy; most angry comments I read were aobut LJers who wanted to keep their LJ life completely separated from FB/Twitter. While over 10000 LJers complained, the LJ staff didn't feel necessary to let us know what they were doing exactly (they did update that news post with a 3 lines edit that said that not even THEY wanted the changes o_O). Anyhow, people were pissed and there was a mass migration towards dreamwidth. I'm just repeating what I said here, here and here (
