I conversed in German with a nursing student who wants to be a midwife who came from Portland and graduated from Reed. I thought of y’all up there.

Also, due to this picture and Charlie’s picture a while back, I’m beginning to get an idea for the general shape of Portland.

That lab picture looks a bit like an aboriginal man playing a didjeridoo to make bush tucker appear.

The petri dishes contain rapidly-dividing colonies of very small wallabies.

Oh, it's a table! I kept thinking it was some sort of dowsing rod or pointing stick.

For my part, I thought it looked like he was fending some science off with a staff.

I spoke too soon. What are you doing in the fourth square?
At first I thought you were falling off your bike in a... landslide? But now it looks like free climbing.

I'm bouldering. Really I spent more time falling off the slackline (climbing gym plus free beer equals lots of falling down), but that was too hard to draw.

That was awesome. I too also knew it was a table! (But then again, I thought you were being attacked by tiny spaceships and random debris in the 4th square at first glance. Hehe.)

See? The fourth square is tricky.
