Man though, if you're gonna have an earworm, ABBA's a good one to have!

I need to go through some old photos and see what I can come up with. I was the most stylish (or dorkiest, however you want to look at it) kid in the 5th grade.

Wow, I'm really glad I'm not the only one who thought that.

I remember when I was a kid, I had the 45 of this song. In fact, I want to say it was the first one I bought with my own money. I sat in the floor at my parents' stereo with the headphones on (those gigantic foam ones that were the size of hamburger buns) and actually wrote all the lyrics that I thought I heard down by hand for some kid in my class. It took me about an hour, I think. If only we'd had the internets, where you can just do a search and have them in two seconds.

I had every single album of theirs (yes, album...on vinyl) and when I was going through my divorce, all my music mysteriously disappeared. That is one of the things I despise my ex the most for.

But yeah, ABBA is pretty much good for anything!

That is such a wonderful song! For some reason it was a MUST PLAY at every college sorority event. Every time I heard that song, I picture a bunch of drunk girls trying to sing along. I am pretty sure "Olly Oxenfree" was yelled a few times!

Yeah, I did. Total disappointment. (A) Pierce Brosnan does not need to sing again. Ever. He shouldn't have sang that time. (B) The fact that they compromised the lyrics to several of the songs really ticks off a purist like me. It's disconcerting to be singing along to a song you've known for 30 years and then realize all of a sudden the lyrics are different.

So that's my thought on Mamma Mia. I wouldn't mind seeing the Broadway show though. (Or was that what you were referring to? I obviously saw the movie version.)

And I think you have replied to every one of my ABBA posts. The fact that I can say "every one of" my ABBA posts is maybe a little scary. ;-)
