My oldest is 11 today. So what did you all do for your 11th birthday? I had a sleep over and proudly told all my friends about "Becoming a woman" sheesh... My twin and I had a swim party in November in the mid west! (I hope everyone gets the enormity and specialness of it all.) We didn't have parties every year. That year was our "golden" birthday so my parents rented the indoor pool at the hotel and we swam with our school chums. My mom made the invitations out of pink construction paper, saying something like "we will be 11 on the 11th day of the 11th month, come swim".
Life was good, very good.
