Oh joy... my bosses are trying to run end games around each other and they're both coming to me for information.

And some chemicals got delivered and I had to get someone else to drive the forklift because they didn't certify me... and none of us have any idea where they're supposed to go.

Looking to be another grand day.

Thought today wouldn't be too hard. Just catch up on titrations and paperwork mostly.

Very wrong.

BSAA bath went foul. Rebuild in process. It's like someone tossed a firecracker into an ant hill.

Went to Baycon. Had fun. Author guests of honor no-showed due to flu (can't blame 'em... they did video conferencing to the site though.) Got home. At work. Still tired.

My lunch ends in a few minutes. I've been trying to be two people today. My coworker is out on vacation and won't be back until Wednesday. There's a lot of stuff that he does during the day. My lab coats came in. They have my name on them and the company logo. And they're white! And they don't go down to my ankles! And the cuffs are actually elasticized so they'll go inside my gloves instead of falling over my gloves.

Got a call today. Going in to Skills tomorrow at 10:30 to fill out paperwork.

That little sweet score I'd just gotten? Yeah... laid off yesterday.

I'm on their callback list, and they were very clear that this was an economy issue, not a me issue, so I don't feel quite as bad about it. But it still sucks.

Got to work and sat around for 20 minutes because I still don't have a key and the guys with them weren't here yet.

Got my samples and got ready to work and realized that I'd loaded the dishwasher, but forgot to run it yesterday. So, I don't have the glassware I need to get going on my work.

Friday, to Dr. Hughes: "Well, I think we've really passed the worst of the winter weather. I don't think we'll be getting any more snow this year."
