Le Sigh

My patience... it is short.

Why does my co-worker talk so loud, making it way obvious she's not working and bugging the shit out of me?

Why does her phone ring on it's loudest setting? Sure, "Banana Phone" is cute... but not for the 1,000th time.  And yes, I'd suspect I've easily heard it a thousand times in the just-over three months I've worked ( Read more... )

As a person who has their phone ring on its loudest setting, I can offer forth the explanation that perhaps she has hearing issues and wants to make sure she hears her phone if she steps a few feet away from her desk.

What on earth is "Banana Phone"?

Possibly, but she leaves her phone (work cell phone) at the desk while she's at lunch/away/not planning on answering. I also know she doesn't have hearing issues, unless it's isolated to cell phone rings. ;) Her phone rings at least 20 times a day, usually more (not joking)... at that point, why wouldn't she bring her phone with her, or turn it down/off when she's planning on being away?

The thing is... I really like her. She's a great person, just a little loud. *sigh*

And "Banana Phone." Check YouTube or maybe even Albino Blacksheep. It's the ring tone she has for her 'general' calls. The guys she assists get the song "Life is a Highway" since they're always on the road. Her hubby is "I've Got You Babe" and I have no idea who "Phenomenon" is (think Sesame Street... do doo dee do do... phenomenon!).

I think I just have a shorter fuse today. I feel disjointed from the whole work thing, and am having a hard time getting back into things. I had to stare at some project plans for an hour just to get my brain on track. Bleh.

Ugh I had a former cube wall neighbor who would ONLY use his headset meaning he talked lounder. And 99% of his phone calls were personal. Really personal, like when he and his boyfriend broke their bed - TMI.

Very distracting. It would have been ok if anyone liked him or if he ever did anything. Neither was the case.
