I haven’t updated for a very long while.  Let’s see.  I’ve just been lazier than heck lately.  I got some bad blisters so laid off the 1/2 marathon training for a few days and now I just can’t seem to make myself get back into the grove.  And I’ve only got two weeks so it’s really not the best time to become the laziest person in the universe.  ( Read more... )

 Today is my Dad's favorite holiday.  There's fire and you can blow things up.  My dad was a closet pyro.  Every year we had some sort of fireworks.  One year when they were banned because of fire danger we lit road flares.  Not the same thing really but it was fire.

Busy weekend.  I need to shop for camping and get all my gear ready.  It should be a ton of fun.  I had a great time trying out various recipes.  I usually only cook for me, which gets old.  Maddy’s the pickiest eater on the planet.  I think I’m fairly organized at this point so it shouldn’t be too bad.

So I’ve started my 25 year high school reunion planning, finally.  It’s not until next summer but for the 20th I had so many problems finding a venue last minute for the 20th so booking a year ahead I should be ok.

Had a really nice weekend.  Lisa was here on Saturday so we went down to the Gaslamp and noodled around.  Then we went over to Coronado and wandered around a bit.  We ended up having drinks at the Hotel Del which was fun.  She flew out on Sunday morning. I just did laundry the rest of the day.
