The small things at the Bishop's Palace in Wells

I'm sorry I haven't been around much lately. I have tried to keep up with what everyone's doing though, so I haven't been completely absent. There are a number of reasons, the biggest being that I really haven't had much to say. The weather, on the whole, hasn't been that great and I haven't been out and about. Not being out and about tends to ( Read more... )

Thanks. :))

Here, spring started early, then stopped completely for several weeks - the world went back to sleep soon after the alarm had gone off - and it's only really kicked off again in the last couple of weeks.

Thank God, I started getting worried!
You know, I was told, that as I had already got one British visa, all the next ones I would get automatically. So I am planning to come again - not soon, any way, not sooner than in winter, or even later. But I want to come with Alice this time. what do you think?

By the way, have you seen "Hot Fuzz"? It was shot in Wells!

Thanks for worrying, dear. Everything is okay, I'm just feeling very lazy these days.

That would be wonderful. Well, you know that you are welcome here at any time. As far as we are concerned, you are part of the family. It would be great if you can get here easily in the future, and if you can bring Alice too, so much the better. I look forward to it already, whenever it happens.

Yes, I have Hot Fuzz on DVD. It's one of my favourite films, made more so by the fact that it was shot in Wells. I know exactly where the supermarket is, and the churches and the streets. I hope you have found it as funny as I have. :))

By the way, dear. Your parcel is finally on its way to you. I posted it about a week ago. Sadly, because I am a useless and thoughtless friend, I forgot to include a card, so I will have to send you an email to explain the things I've sent.

Maggie showed this film to me when I was back from the UK this winter, and I recognised the site immediately! I found "Hot Fuzz" to be hilarious and brilliantly shot, a bright example of a true british humour!

Thank you for the parcel. You are a useful and thoughtful friend, the best one. Don't talk down on yourself. I love you and miss you.

I love and miss you too, very much. And you made my day, my week, my month, my year by saying so. :))

I agree with you, the humour in Hot Fuzz is very British; we do absurd extremely well, and you have encouraged me to watch the film again this coming weekend.

And it's always great to hear from you! :))

Transporting people and their imaginations to the places I take photos is more than I could ever hope for. So, I'm really stoked that you like them. :))

I'm hoping for a warm, gentle summer with lots of photo opportunities! :))

Thanks :))

I'm holding out for warm and sunny, but also prepared to be disappointed - this is England after all! :))

Thanks for pointing them out to me, those are great. :)))) I love them all, and the ones with the macros are my favourite or where you look through the window to the sculpture. :)
