A Lack of Oxygen

I figured I'd give myself a couple of weeks before deciding on how I felt about the new job, and the verdict is that I actually don't hate it. It's strides better than Home Depot, and working with people who run somewhat closer my personality type is a welcome change from an office filled with soccer moms and businessmen. As for my actual duties ( Read more... )

I believe you. My brother enjoyed it, too. But alas, I think I'll be a spendthrift and go without a new machine for a while after all. It'd be nice to have savings again and games are highly distracting when I should really be working on more creative endeavours. One day, I guess.

Where did you play it, by chance? Battle And Brew? If so, and you go out there again, let me know sometime. I might like to join you if you'd be willing to put up with me.

I don't often get a chance to go by B&B since I live on the Gwinnett side o' town these days. I played the demo at my house and sat in on Sam & Alex playing at Gina/Aryeh's. I'm not going to pick it up for myself until after Christmas.

But it has been ages since we hung, maybe we should get together and do the whole B&B thing sometime soonish.

Kennesaw is actually ridiculous about their applications. It has irritated me many a time. I'm glad I got into the system before their student population (and heads) swelled so much. And I hate getting transcripts. Last time I had to get one from my high school they were all "Oh well, so-n-so who does them now isn't here today so you can't have them." Bull honky lady. I worked in that office when I was in high school. All you have to do is look up my name and hit "print" but apparently your lazy ass can't handle that. I even said I would go get them myself, which they were scandalized by.

I'm actually trying to decide whether I want to go to Kennesaw after all. What with work being in Alpharetta and the fluxative state of my future living situation, I'm not sure it would really be the most appropriate choice. Then again, it's probably the closest thing to an actual college experience we've got around here (that I could reasonably expect to be accepted into, anyway), and that might be worth the additional travel expense. Depending on where I'm living next year, Perimeter may be closer, but I'm not sure I'd want to trade quality for accessibility.

Ah well. Just another thing to be pondered into oblivion, I guess.
