Wow, this last week was amazing! I participated in burningman and words simply cannot describe the event.  The sights, the sounds, the art, the fire, the people, the dancing, the total rebuilding of a social ethos... Wow, I just got back and am totally stunned by the enormity of it all. Will post more later after I have some time to let it sink

After yoga today, I decided to do a little bouldering. With a little encouragement from my friends, and a whole lot of "roar" I managed to conquer the long traversing V1 route that I've been working on for the past couple weeks. Roar!

I almost missed it this year (due to poor planning on my part) but this weekend was CodeCon, an amazing collection of hackers/coders that assembles in San Francisco each year. I got to hang out with John Gilmore, Brad Templeton, Bram Cohen, and a bunch of other briliant people. The talks were impressive and inspiring. I wish I could find more ( Read more... )

I don't think I've mentioned this here yet, but a couple weeks ago I was promoted to Team Lead. I went to my first yoga class yesterday. It was a cross between the meditating I did in college, and the stretches I did in soccer... only I didn't have a big guy yelling "Give me twenty more, you little weasel!!" standing over me. I found out today that the father of one of my good friends died in a boating accident in Hawaii over the weekend. He was a harbor man and died doing what he loved. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
