Hello. Thank you Fate for the nudge, yes I am still alive and well. Just not online much, and when I am I tend to shy away from things where writing about myself. I'm on my summer break at the moment, just got back from a week in sunny south France. It's been an incredible year, the best year of my life, but also the most challenging. God's worked

Very true, some people don't want help yet, and some are not interested anyway. But many are. I have no desire to bible bash people. I pray that God will lead me to those who are searching, who know there must be more but can't quite find it. We all, at times, need someone to point us in the right direction.

May I ask what area you are struggling with?

you aren't alone in that, there have been times even through this past year that I have felt so disconnected from God even though I've always still known that he was there. All I've been able to do in those times is to cling to him, to what the bible says, even though I haven't had any tangible evidence of him, and all I've been able to do is cry out for help. But I've found its actually been times like that that have most grown my faith, because I've been so desperate to get connected with God that I've been looking for him. I know it's probably different to what you are feeling at the moment, but I would really encourage you to continue to look for God. It says in the bible that those who seek God will find him. I know you have a true heart and I know that God will never turn you away.

i'm good actually, really good :) i came out of therapy a couple of months ago and i'm feeling a lot more settled in myself these days. sorry not to see you on lj so much any more, b ut the work you're doing sounds fantastic. best of luck x

I'm really happy to hear that :) What are you up to these days? Are you still doing 7 selling artwork?

I don't have faith, but I WISH I did, if that makes any sense. I've certainly tried, prayed, gone to different churches, et cetera. I'm not even sure if I did find God, if would be Christianity or some other religion or even just a spirituality within me, but it does make me happy that you have found this because it is clearly working for you. I wish I could find it too, but I honestly do not know how to "make" myself believe when I really don't, but if I could, I would.

I don't think it is possible to make yourself believe. Faith does not not come by reasoning but by revelation. I would personally suggest that you ask God to reveal himself to you. The bible says seek and you will find - if you look for God (nb not religion) you will find him. Have you ever read the bible? If not I would also suggest trying reading some of it, starting with the new testament/gospels.
