The demise of LJ
*sigh* Due to the popularity of Facebook, I think LJ is in demise. I've noticed a drastic slowing down in the last couple years that is only progressing. Even I update much less than I used to since I spend more time on Facebook. End of an era. -

Turtles in mythology: The Hindu god Vishnu took the avatar form of a turtle and held mountains on his back. Another Iroquois creation story depicts the North American continent as supported by the strength and steadfastness of a turtle.
