Had a good weekend! Had a Peter-beer-ito fest Friday night, involving Peterborough beers and burritos. Had a fantastic weekend. Went mountain biking on Saturday with friends, had a wonderful greasy breakfast, big dog walk, saw a movie. Hard to believe we fit it all into one day!

On Sunday I mitered the tubes for these and then headed off and got them brazed up with Heather's help.

The fence is basically done! Pretty happy about that, good to get a project finished.

I got some steel in the mail, maybe get another project underway this weekend!

Here's a prototype 1" threadless stem I made recently. I did the tube mitring by hand, and I brazed one of the intersections, Heather did the other one. Fun fun!

I've been offered the use of a friend's frame building workshop, so my Gf and I are going to try and build a new commuter frame for her. She is about 5'2", so finding bikes that fit her is sometimes a challenge. She's looking to replace her current commuting road bike, a aggressive small 650c road bike. Had a great time on the weekend, the race was great fun.

Short story: Heather and I stuck together for the 60km, conquered some single track. Heather was feeling quite ill for the first hour, and we stopped a number of times.
