Yesterday was Valentines day, the holiday which I have been forced to celebrate through school functions, store advertisements, and many other modes has come and gone in Japan. I spent a wonderful day in Nara yesterday. Reika and Miki, two of my Japanese friends, proposed this trip a few months ago. It was a lot of fun. I coaxed Liz to come with us so we two set out for the bus at around 9:50, missed it and took our bikes on a splendidly fast ride to Makino. THen we hopped the train and met Miki in Hirakatashi. School is to start this Monday and I am very excited that my life will once more be required to follow a schedule of any shape or fashion.
