I really had a wonderful time in Tokyo this last week. I spent three nights and four days with my best friend, Colleen and her host family, in Hashimoto Tokyo. Alrighty this week yet again has been one of those expensive travel weeks. I went with my friends: Dan, Dave, David (funny isn’t it?), Chris, Fei, and Angelia. We paid for the two way Shinkansen that reduced an eight hour night bus ride both ways to two 1hour and 20 min rides that allowed us to go for the one day we had available. This weekend ended with a long awaited trip to the Osaka Aquarium! I had a blast wandering amidst the gigantic tanks of salt water where the fish from Finding Nemo can be found. I met Dory, Flipper, Andre, and last but not least Nemo and his father. The set up of the suizokukan or Aquarium was not that different from the one found in Tennessee ( Read more... )
