As it was from my journal that the question was spawned, I will have to say YES that has happened to me.

More frequently than it should actually. Hence my almost never knowing the words to songs. I choose to ignore them, just in case they ruin the music for me.

I really liked Fabulous's "Breathe" until I listened to the lyrics and realized that it's all about how he's so awesome that he steals everybody's breath away.

Seriously, I enjoy a lot of rap music, but the posturing must get exhausting after a while.
