One day, many years ago (when I was like 16 or 17) something happend and I could not longer bend the joint in my left thumb fully. I have no idea what did it -- maybe I just got my hand in a funny position, or... I don't know, but it meant I could not bend it more than, oh 60 or 70 degrees -- as opposed to the 90 or so one notmally expects. For ( Read more... )

maybe it was some kind of freak form of crystal deposition similar to gout?

you got some crystals build up in the joint that stopped it bending which, suddenly broke loose again, causing the inflammation and pain, and then sudden resolution?

I still want a glockenspiel. I've been pricing them for 15+ years but aside from the toy versions they seem ridiculous.
