Oh boo-hoo, I got kicked out of
d_hr_ficlets.
I could care less because this community is such a small part of where I go to fuel my D/Hr addiction anyway. What irks me most, though, is being accused of being rude/sneaky/backhanded to someone in the ‘ship.

's okay. I rarely comment on my Flist's LJs, either. Just not enough time during the day, unfortunately.
Thank you for leaving a comment this time. I feel validated :) Good luck with your test(s). Now go study! :)

Also, this comment made annoyed me:
"You should be flattered if someone "steals" it. If the second party lied and she did take it from LJ, so what? If you are part of a fanfiction community you have already violated your own moral code on taking other people's stuff, so forget that."
So what if someone steals it? So what if she LIED?
Writing fanfiction means that I've violated my moral code and therefore my standards have immediately dropped to the point where lying and stealing are A-OKAY!
*thumbs up*
Sigh.
You're not rude. She's just crazy.

I, too, was very bothered by their statement that equated being part of the fanfic community as having lower moral codes than those who aren't. But whatever. I don't want to belabor this discussion. She is certainly entitled to her own beliefs/opinions/moral codes however...confounding they may be.
Thanks for commenting and validating me :)

I thought about this whole thing all day today, too. It's interesting to note where fiveoclocktea bases her arguments on. I consider myself a relative newbie to the world of fanfic but having gone through several plagiarism incidents, most notably the one that plagued weekinthelife recently, I've noticed that people have differeing opinions on what constitutes plagiarism. There are certainly those who believe that fanfic writers are essentially plagiarizing from the original authors and therefore don't deserve to be accorded the same "protection" from plagiarism. It's sad. And now with this, I'm seeing how that belief/opinion could be extended to icons and photomanips as well. That's definitely what fiveoclocktea seems to believe. She believed it so strongly she had to take action on me even though boome
and I had already resolved this.
If I must be accused of bad manners, I would say accuse me of not thanking boome after she replaced the icon ( ... )

My apologies for the lateness of this reply, but I usually I haven't the time to finish my LJ-hopping.
Anyway, I feel awful that you were kicked out of that community. I thought it was very unfair because I read your posts and you were very diplomatic about the whole thing.
Who kicked you out, anyway? Was it Aedre?
